I was part of a team that was tasked with creating a support files downloads page for the Cartoon Network’s big new app, Adventure Time: Game Wizard. The key requirements were the game title (naturally), highlight the Starter Pack download, extra sheets download, and a Choose Languages drop down.
The first in this series of images, is a sketchbook sample of some rough ideas on how I might design the page. Next are highlight samples from the series of mockups. A lot of times, even if I started with pencil sketches, I explore ideas and experiment with elements further in the round one mockup phase. The focus in our design revisions was on icon development, character focus and reduction of extra elements. In the final draft we finalized the character composition and gave some breathing space to the Starter Kit icon/link.
